A privilege to present the Minister of Veterans Affairs Commendation to 5 Veterans.
The highest honour I can bestow, it recognizes the efforts that each of them have put towards the well-being of our country’s Veterans and their families.
We honour the retired Chief Warrant Officer who helps keep the Wall of Remembrance up to date,
the Korean War Veteran who arranges fishing trips for other Veterans.
We honour the Peacekeeping Veteran who locates and identifies the graves of Canadian servicemen abroad,
the Veteran who has found other Veterans living in isolation to help get them the benefits they’re entitled to.
And we honour the Veteran who makes displays to help explain peacekeeping to school children.
You have done so much for our communities, for our country, and for our Veterans.
Thank you.
