And ... the charade continues. According to 'media', reshuffle of cabinet next week.
Since this rookie minister was in this position for a while (doing stellar job) maybe he will be replaced (moved to greener pasture) and new 'minister' will be put in position. Of course, it would need to 'familiarize itself with the new file, etc.

On the road again.

After Toronto and Vancouver, we're in Moncton today hearing from Veterans and stakeholders.

These discussions will mean better services for Canada’s Veterans.

Today is our 34th town hall in 6 months.

We are changing how things are done at Veterans Affairs Canada...

...because of rooms like this one.

Because we're listening to Veterans.

Because we want to make things better.

So, we'll keep doing the work.

Facebook response comments:

Dan Fraser - Change the caregiver allowance so all are eligible not just those under the NVC!

Joan Carbage Larocque - If you are listening then lets talk. I will be in St John's in Aug, my number is in my HUGE file kept with both your st johns office and VAC, lets setup that appointment and talk

Dave Mushing - No, you're not listening.

No, Mr. O'Regan, you have not made good on your promise.

"We will reinstate lifelong pensions, and increase their value in line with the obligation we have made to those injured in the line of duty" - Justin Trudeau, Aug 24 2015, to veterans at CFB Trenton.

Every single one of the nearly 700,000 veterans in Canada knows there was only one lifelong pension to "reinstate" - the Pension Act pension. Did you hear the word "option" leave his lips?

re·in·state
verb

restore (someone or something) to their former position or condition.

You, sir, have done nothing but execute a massive bait and switch scam on Canada's veterans. And veterans will remember that during the next election.

When I was young I wanted to choose a career that allowed for a young retirement so I joined the forces.

Looking at what the Ministers of Veterans Affairs past and present I know now I've chosen the wrong career.

Seamus has a dream job that allows for the bureaucrats to make his step by step play in the time he has in this position. Great pay and great security towards his up coming golden pension. Not to mention travel the world, the Country all expenses paid, what a dream job!!!!

No on second thought I could not live with myself doing what his doing. His either stupid or just playing the game on the backs of disabled Veterans. I would say it's a combination of the two.

So yeah he can have it.
