Veterans Affairs Minister Seamus O’Regan is in Kelowna to meet with Veterans and their families at a town hall tonight.
"Anyone can come but particularly veterans and their families are the ones we want to hear from, but we don't go into it with any particular agenda," says O'Regan.
Veterans and their families will have the opportunity to hear more and ask questions about Pension for Life, and other Veterans Affairs Canada benefits and services, including new benefits which launched on April 1, 2018.
O'Reagan says the liberals brought back a tax-free monthly pension for life, "it's a bit different than it was before and a whole new set of programs, a lot of it dealing with vocational rehabilitation and mental health."
The Veterans Town Hall starts tonight at 5:30 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #26, 1380 Bertram Street.
