Retired colonel to speak about PTSD and the Afghan war during Ottawa visit

October 23, 2017

Retired Col. John Conrad will be in Ottawa on Nov. 8 to promote his book, “Among the Walking Wounded – Soldiers, Survival and PTSD.”

The book chronicles the journey Conrad, an Afghan war veteran, faced as he tried to deal with his own PTSD and suicides among his men.

The book highlights the poor treatment of Afghan veterans by Veterans Affairs Canada and the Canadian Forces.

Defence Watch has been told that a number of defence associations have declined to promote Conrad’s visit because his book is critical of the government and military. So here are details about the event:
