C378 Private Member Bill

Aaron Bedard shared John Brassard - MP for Barrie-Innisfil's live video.

Feb 14, 2018

PLEASE SHARE
I watched this clean through watching a Government and veterans within, defeat a bill to show the Government genuinely cares about veterans. Each and every one of those veterans in that party stood up to say NAY and defeat this bill. It’s enough to make me want to just burst into flames. It’s one of those moments where I want to throw my medals in the garbage. O’regan did it with a smile...

C378 is being voted on now, watch as MPs vote to send my Private Member Bill to committee to establish "Fairness Principles" when a government supports Veterans. .

Please, replay that clip closer to the election time.
Vote the bums out.
Don't give them the chance to get the 6 years and collect their pensions.

Equitas Society

So John Brassard's private members bill amending the Veterans Affairs Act with Principles of Fairness was defeated on second reading by the Liberals today. Another example of how they feel about veterans.

Come on Trooper you didn't really expect this bill to pass did you?

Besides this is a political move for the Conservatives for the next election. It's standard practice by opposition parties to put a private members bill on the floor knowing that it is going to be voted down by the leading party.

No I wasn't a bit surprised it did not pass.

It's the same old one party playing against the other with the Veterans file stuck in the middle.

My belief is no party is going to bring about change that suits us simply because they would need to bring the old pension act back which none will do.

The only thing left to do at this point is put the pressure on via media and public protest regardless who's in power.

Watch for a clip I will post shortly in the Advocacy section of the forum. Power Play clip with Seamus O'Regan followed by an excellent interview with Sean Bruyea.
