Thank you to everyone who came and heard us out.
In turn, we heard you, loud and clear.
You keep our feet to the fire,
and we’ll keep plugging away.

Q. How will PFL affect the backlog?
A. Any backlog is too too much backlog. VAC got $42.8M in the recent budget to invest in the capacity to deliver services. We are streamlining processes.

Q. What does grandfathering CIA rates mean?
A. In April 2019 Veterans getting CIA will begin getting the Additional Pain and Suffering Compensation at the same grade level as their CIA (1, 2, or 3).

Q. Why arent't we launching PFL until April 2019?
A. Lots of work is going on behind the scenes and we want to make sure everything works before we launch getting ready to deliver the new benefits to 1000s of Veterans and families.

Some of the questions we got on Pension for Life in Edmonton:
Q. Do retro payments for PFL end at 65?
A. No, the PFL is for life -- whether that is 75 or 84 or 104. Retro amounts take into account life expectancy, but the payments will continue for life....

I think, that since 'their' PR is not going well with the veterans and public in general, they are 'clarifying' things that they were hoping that will go unnoticed. More specific questions they have to answer, more solid facts (and improvements) they have to put into practice.
