Prime Minister Justin Trudeau held a Town Hall meeting in Sackville, Nova Scotia on January 9, 2018. On behalf of Military/RCMP Veterans, veteran John Labelle ask the Prime Minister a simple question.
“Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will you stand up for Military/RCMP veterans and their families and terminate the CPP pension claw back affecting the welfare of their families at age 65 or sooner if disabled at no cost to the taxpayers?”
Regretfully, the PM skirted around the question and did not provide us with a reply. We then asked Darrell Samson, MP to hand deliver our question to Prime Minister Trudeau. After numerous attempts the Prime Minister did not reply and he continues to avoid Canada’s veterans and their families.
Canada’s veterans were prepared to give the ultimate sacrifice and many families gave it their all. They were not prepared to have their engagement contract breached on completion of their service. This situation is considered to be a shameful act on the part of the Government of Canada
