Nazi soldiers can be seen in this short video from Veterans Affairs Canada commemorating the efforts of Canadian soldiers in the Second World War. (Veterans Affairs Canada)

This should come as no surprise to anyone including the CBC.
They scramble for references in every aspect of the system because they have no clue.

Now we have MacAulay asking Natynczyk to review the approval process. These two have no clue? Why are they in that position? Why didn't MacAulay pick this up? Two individuals who haven't got a clue of what they are doing.

Passage of time? VE Day tribute mixes Germans, Canadians
May 10, 2019
May 10, 2019
It was a long time ago but veterans (and others no doubt) wish that the government could tell the difference between members of the First Canadian Army and the German enemy in WWII. Video released by the Veterans Affairs Department Wednesday to commemorate Victory in Europe (VE) Day featured German troops prominently off the top. Then we see some Canadians. The sequence seems to have confused even the CBC reporter talking about the furore. Put it down to the passage of time.

The Trudeau government can’t tell Canadian troops from Nazis
by Yanky Pollak - May 10, 2019
by Yanky Pollak - May 10, 2019
The Department of Veterans Affairs posted a video online to celebrate the 74th anniversary of VE-Day. There was one problem though: the video featured Nazi soldiers instead of Canadian troops.
The accompanying, now-deleted tweet said, “74 years ago, crowds celebrated Victory in Europe (V-E) Day across the Allied nations. Today, we remember the service and sacrifice of those who fought for peace and freedom during the Second World War.”
The video featured Veterans Affairs Minister Lawrence MacAulay who said that “more than a million Canadian men and women served in this bitter conflict … lest we forget.” while images of Nazi soldiers instead of Canadian troops played on the screen.
CBC also reported that “a spokesperson from Veterans Affairs said the video, which was posted to the department’s social media platforms, was ‘unacceptable’ and was removed as soon as the mistake was noticed.”

Re: Veterans Affairs bungles VE-Day video by showing Nazis
Listen folks this clearly shows the incompetence of our government with respect to Canadian Veterans. This proves what I've been saying all along, the Ministers past, present, and forward are useless for disabled Veterans in this Country. This position is given to individuals to cushion those individuals security affecting/promoting their careers. The Ministers of Veterans Affairs in this Country do exactly what is posted in the Ministers facebook page, they relay topics of the file that coincides with history, and some aspects of the file that has been created/amended by the top bureaucrat, and the bureaucratic team. In this particular case it clearly shows the Minister reading from a script presented to him, with him having no clue about what he is reading to the public. He didn't pick up the very important mistake that he should of checked before hand given his position as Minister of the Veterans file. He simply does not know the difference. He knows nothing about the real issue behind the Veterans file impacting negatively on disabled Veterans in this Country. With this incident he basically is telling the Country he has no clue about the file his in charge of. It also proves that it is the top bureaucrat Walter Natynczyk who runs fully the Veterans file in this Country. We have a Minister of Veterans Affairs in this Country not for disabled Veterans of this Country, for the sake of having one following standard procedure that's been in place for many years. These Ministers are useless in every aspect of this Country. Tax dollars paid for by citizens of this Country for a useless position. Now another issue we have regarding this incident of today is the fact that Walter Natynczyk a former soldier of this Country is in the circle of this incident also, he is the Ministers right hand man, and also runs in full the file, it's also his job to ensure incidents like these do not happen. So perhaps Natynczyk needs a lesson in military history himself. Listen folks there's no excuses that can be made here including it being labeled as a simple mistake, this is pure, and straight forward incompetence on the part of the government, and those within the government in charge of disabled Veterans in this Country. Make no mistake, these pricks are screwing disabled Veterans in this Country, left, right, and center. Natynczyk has created the PFL, Natynczyk is responsible for this betrayed system he has implemented for disabled Veterans in this Country. Go back and read some of my post suggesting we stay clear of stakeholder meetings, town halls, and everything that is government controlled, these Ministers are puppets of Natynczyk, and one of Natynczyk betrayal tactic is to have Veterans in this Country sit with him so he can publicly state that he has our best interest, and is listening to what Veterans are saying. But the fact is Natynczyk uses these events to fuel public relations making it look like the government is doing everything within it's power to support disabled Veterans in this Country. This is an old tactic used for many years, and Veterans, and advocates continue to fall right into the governments tactics hands by attending these events. So the problem is really three-tier, Government, Bureaucrats within the government, and some Advocates that represents Veterans. This is what makes the government role in a continuous fashion of screwing over disabled Veterans in this Country. This will of course continue until someone finds a way to alter this system that is working so well for the government. Remember folks the government looks after themselves, they work hard at given the perception they care, and act to support disabled Veterans in this Country. This incident of "Veterans Affairs bungles VE-Day video by showing Nazis" should not be viewed as a simple mistake, but as proof of the incompetence in our government to run the Veterans file!!!
Re: Veterans Affairs bungles VE-Day video by showing Nazis
So which Liberal Prime Minister screwed up the most?
Paul Martin referring to the D-Day invasion as Norway instead of Normandy?
Or
This video released by Trudeau ?
Personally I pick Trudeau because he basically double-downed Martin's screw up by paying a convicted terrorist $10.5 million, and told a veteran at a town hall that veterans are asking for too much.

Veterans Affairs Minister Lawrence MacAulay Apologizes For VE-Day Video Showing Nazis
May 10, 2019
"We will make sure that this does not happen again."
May 10, 2019
"We will make sure that this does not happen again."
Canada's veterans affairs minister has apologized for an "unacceptable" blunder from his department that saw images of Nazis included in a government video celebrating the 74th anniversary of the Allied forces' victory in Europe.
"This was a completely unacceptable mistake and the video... was removed immediately," Lawrence MacAulay said in question period Friday. "I can assure you (that) I and the people involved are very concerned and we're taking steps to make sure this does not happen again."
MacAulay added that he hoped the error did not "detract" from the purpose of the Victory in Europe (VE-Day) message: to honour the Canadian soldiers who fought and died in the Second World War.
The minister did not respond directly to Tory backbencher Dane Lloyd's question about how many "levels of vetting" the video went through before its release.
Evidently unmoved by MacAulay's words, Conservative MP Michael Barrett rose on the same point.
"The Liberals marked VE-Day by thanking Nazis for their sacrifice, complete with an online video featuring German troops and a voiceover by the veterans' minister," Barrett said, before asking the minister to explicitly apologize to veterans.
"Of course... I would do anything I could for our veterans, including apologize for the likes of this to happen. This is totally unacceptable," MacAulay said.
"And as I said, we will make sure that this does not happen again. And I've instructed my deputy minister to find out just what took place, what was missed."
Tory MPs thank minister for his response
Veterans Affairs released and quickly deleted the video Wednesday, according to CBC News. On May 8, 1945, Allied nations celebrated Nazi Germany's unconditional surrender and the end of the Second World War in Europe.
CBC has a copy of the video, in which MacAulay notes that more than a million Canadians served in the Second World War and more than 45,000 "gave their lives in the defence of peace and freedom."
As he speaks, footage is shown of German forces wearing Nazi eagle symbols on their uniforms.

Re: Veterans Affairs bungles VE-Day video by showing Nazis
Just like I said the other day in my post, this is proof of the incompetence our government has with the Veterans file. The Minister of Veterans Affairs is simply an appointment for the sake of having an appointed position. What's the point of continuing with this position when it is in fact Walt Natynczyk, the deputy Minister of Veterans Affairs who runs the whole file? Walt Natynczyk literally runs the Veterans file. So it makes no difference with respect to the Veterans file who or what government runs the Country come October, Walt Natynczyk will still be running the Veterans file. This Veterans file is literally a joke run by a complete incompetent person who has turned his back on fellow Veterans in this Country. The Veterans file is so messed up that even it's creators have no clue about the issues that they have created. We have back logs, miss calculation issues, and pure incompetence at a level that is beyond any other department within the government. We do need a complete revamp of the Veterans file starting with an outside of government inquiry. I have not seen or heard one politician in this Country that is in comprehension of what is needed to fix the Veterans file. We are running in circles with no expectation of real fixes to the Veterans file. A continuous chaotic file that the government just has no desire or competence to fix.Leopard wrote:Veterans Affairs video features German, not Canadian troops. OOPS! | David Menzies

Yep have to agree Trooper I for one cannot believe how incompetent these morons are when it comes to our file wait times have gotten longer in most cases when applying for benefits not shorter also cannot believe how long you have to wait for money that is owed to you ie missed calculations and srb payment but low and behold they will take a pay raise and paid immediately also when you call the toll free number the person who you talk to has no idea to point you in the right direction this is just some of the problems you have to deal with personally I feel who ever is dealing with our file has done a horrible job and should be removed from our file
