Thanks Danny, your right, mine was increased 2.15% for 2018.
If others can check out their own numbers, and let us know if the 2.15% increase is correct.

Re: My VAC Account
Calculate 1.015* $$$$$ to your old net amount.
It should now equal your new net amount...
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Do we not all receive the same amount of the Consumer price Index
1.5 is what I received.

Re: My VAC Account
I am getting an increase of 2.16% also from my VAC benefits. This is the CPI increase for 2018. (VAC)
I could be wrong but this is what was explained to me a few years ago, SISIP, CF Pension, and CPP work on the same CPI calculation. VAC on the other hand works from a different CPI calculation.
Proof of this would be looking back a few years when VAC's CPI was just under 8% where the other government pensions were only around 2.5%. For the past few years VAC's CPI has been close to the other government benefits CPI, if not the same. I believe 2017 VAC's CPI was 1.5% where as all other government pensions were 1.3%.
To know if this is indeed true, you can open My Vac Account, and look at the new 2018 rates, and subtract it from your 2017 rate. This will give you the dollar difference as per your increase of the 2018 CPI.
To get the true percentage, click on the link below, go to: What is the percentage increase/decrease
from 2017 Rate
to 2018 Rate
?
Hit Calculate This will give you your CPI VAC percentage increase for 2018.
Percentage Calculator: https://percentagecalculator.net/
If you get 2.16% it will prove my theory behind the difference in CPI percentages.
If you get 1.6% my theory is wrong and my calculations are wrong.
So please if you do the calculations using the above, please post your results.
NOTE: If you do not know all your exact VAC benefit amounts, you can use one that your sure of, and that will give you the same results from the above calculator.

Re: My VAC Account
The math has been done.
Check your VAC account and did you notice a slight increase in your net income and a drop in taxes/deductions?
"If you receive monthly disability, economic support, or financial benefit payments, they will currently display reflecting the 2018 rate, which has been adjusted for cost of living. This amount may change slightly once tax rates are updated. The first payment at the new rate will be on January 30."
