Re: Can I get CPP disability benefits?
I have a question regarding CPPD. When a person is successful with a CPPD application, I know the/she will have to inform the GOC pension officer first. At this point, the bridge benefit is removed from your pension.
With respect to LTD from Great West Life or SISIP, is there any amount reduced from any long term disability benefits as well?
I am trying to decide if I should apply for CPPD or not.
Thanks
Newf

CPPD will be offset at 100% from SISIP.
If you have children you will get CPPD amount for each child up until 18 or if continued education after 18.
If you continue with SISIP, they will force you to apply for CPPD.
As far as the bridge amount goes from your pension, here is the link for the Bridge Benefit
