RE; Government treatment of veterans
In this the 150th anniversary of Canada as a nation and the 100th anniversary of Vimy Ridge where Canada truly became a country on its own merit thanks to the sacrifice of countless Canadian soldiers, the federal government continues to insult the veterans and families of the military.
During the arrogant regime of Stephen Harper, he and his henchmen John Baird, Julian Fantino and Peter MacKay attempted to slash the pay of those who served in Afghanistan, cut back on benefits for veterans, and close health care clinics for military personal suffering both physical and physiological problems.
Now, as the vets find themselves dealing with P.T.S.D., homelessness and suicide, Justin Trudeau continues to add insult to injury. Veterans watch as the prime minister apologizes to admitted terrorists like Omar Khadr and pay traitors over $10 million. The federal government, at the cost of millions to taxpayers, is quietly trying to reintegrate 60 homegrown ISIS fighters back into Canada after being traitors to their flag and country.
Now, in their latest insult to Canadian veterans, the Liberal government while not contesting Omar Khadr's claim in court and campaigning in the 2015 election for the Equitas lawsuit brought on by six injured veterans has fought against the claim in court for the lifelong disability pension. I guess it must be in Justin Trudeau's lineage; ask a veteran of the Second World War who served overseas what they think of his father, Pierre Trudeau, and they will tell you in one word, Zombie.
