Military rights to be affected by prorogation
Michel W. Drapeau Posted of Facebook July 23, 2018
With much fanfare, a couple months back DND tabled a Bill C-77 in Parliament eliminating SUMMARY TRIALS and granting victims of crimes prosecuted before military tribunals the same rights granted to every other persons in Canada. The Bill has now DIED on the order paper with the prorogation of Parliament. This means unless and until re-introduced and passed by the new Parliament, CAF members will continued to be victimized by being denied several procedural legal rights the rest of persons residing in Canada takes for granted.
