Yes, the Liberals did bring back a pension for life for veterans, but it only affected about 12 per cent of severely disabled veterans.
What about the other 88 per cent who are receiving or have received a cash award for their disabilities? We have a minister who has no other choice but to give the party line.
He tells us he has a brother in the navy, and he should know what he is talking about. The minister has never worn a uniform, so his brother means nothing to his decision making. Unless you have worn a Canadian Forces uniform, you are not a veteran and know nothing about what we are about.
Remember MP Peter MacKay, who was a private for three days? What a laugh.
Trudeau campaigned on bringing back the lifelong pension for veterans – all veterans.
Our MP is a veteran, so come on veterans, there are about 2200 of us in Kelowna, stand up to be counted.
Trudeau said government cant afford what we are asking for, yet he has signed on to giving our taxes to other countries, not taking into account us veterans who paid taxes all our lives.
Stand up and either get rid of the Liberals, as we did the Conservatives, or make them change their stance and own up to giving back all disabled veterans what they promised – a lifelong disability pension.
