LETTER: Veterans would be ‘insulted’

Letter to the Editor, Published October 1, 2018

It is particularly galling to see Sean Howard involved with the homage to our fallen veterans - "The World Remembers" – at Cape Breton University.

This is the same Sean Howard who has publicly stated that he is against veterans’ monuments and who publishes vilifying diatribes about Canada's role in the Great War just before Remembrance Day. Will we see a repeat of that this year?

His participation in this project is an insult to our Cape Breton fallen and their comrades.

James MacDonald, a noted historian of Cape Breton military history who lives in Baddeck, would have been a much better choice.
