McNEIL, Sgt. Milton Glace Bay, formerly of Reserve Mines. 1953-2020 In the company of family and friends, Milton left this life on February 26, 2020 at Glace Bay Healthcare Complex, Glace Bay. His slight stature was balanced by his weighty personality which made an impact on all who knew him. Milton was the son of the late Angus and Kathleen (Kaye McIvor) McNeil. Milton spent his career in the Canadian Forces, served in various areas in Canada and overseas, Syria. He retired to his ‘favourite place’ Cape Breton. Milton enjoyed travelling, driving his cars, card games with the guys and the ‘odd’ beer. Sadly, his retirement was interrupted by Huntington’s, a battle he bravely fought. He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 3. A Celebration of Life with a reception will take place Sunday, March 1, 2020 from 1-4 p.m. at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Cremation Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS (902-849-4199). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Huntington Society of Canada or charity of choice. Thank you to Dr. Claire Mac Neil, Dr. David Ley, the staff of ER and 3E Glace Bay Healthcare Complex, Dr. Trevor Guy and Dr. Rod Wilson (MAID) for their compassion and support.
