Medical Marijuana and Canada's Veterans 'SPECIAL REPORT' Empty Re: Medical Marijuana and Canada's Veterans 'SPECIAL REPORT'

Damn "Big Weed" industry!!!  How dare this 'soul-less corporate greedy business' take advantage of injured veterans with a drug that actually helps them!

For years "Big Pharma" sold us veterans generic drugs to treat PTSD and chronic pain.  We had to take handfuls of these generic drugs hoping this batch was above the 50% efficacy (the ability to produce a desired or intended result) so we didn't have to have another prescription for another generic drug with an efficacy of 50%.  After all Big Pharma has a whole lot more (at more then $8.50 a gram) generic low efficacy drugs to help us get over our PTSD and chronic pain.

This argument of the cost medical marijuana has gone on long enough. Personally my drug store is happy to see I am doing better and have a better quality of life on CBD and THC but they sure miss the $800 - $1000 a month on drugs I needed. There was a slight reference to the drugs vets are no longer taking because they don't need it in this article. So how much is the bottom line of drugs vets no longer need to take compared to vets who now use marijuana? Until they show that monetary comparison this "cost" is nothing but a one-sided argument to have the average Canadian think their tax dollars are buying too much medical marijuana for veterans and cops. It's a purely biased comment.

It's a drug that is WORKING for veterans!  Why?  Because there is no "generic marijuana" to be sold.  And let's not forget that some Big Pharma companies are now investing in marijuana grow ops for medical purposes a sign that marijuana is a drug they cannot create at a cheaper rate of $8.50/gram.

If VAC bean counters are looking for another area to 'study' then how about the efficiency of the processing of applications.  Pretty sure they have around 44,000 test cases to study! Or better yet to stay with the Lionel Desmond inquiry....how about they look into the fact that VAC downloads veterans on a provincial health care system and give that province NO MEDICAL PAPERWORK ON SAID VETERAN. Or how a veteran with PTSD is going to a family doctor in a small town like Letter Kenney and said doctors are not trained or prepared to help a former infantry soldier with severe PTSD? That issue was brought up by the doctor in care of Desmond....I believe when she read the VAC report, for the first time, she said if she had of had this information she would have never let Mr. Desmond leave the hospital!
