VAC says a nurse needs to adjudicate my claim???
Has anyone else ever heard of this & what should I infer about what this might mean for the possibility that my claim may or may not be accepted and awarded? ....
I broke my ankle on duty and my VAC claim was in stage 3. Then they called me and said the type of fracture I had requires a VAC nurse to adjudicate the claim. Now, the claim has been downgraded back to stage 2 until a nurse can deal with it?
What does this mean? Is it good or bad?
Thanks.

Every application for a disability benefit is reviewed by an adjudicator – who are specially-trained to review and make decisions on claims for a disability benefit.
If the adjudicator determines that there is clear medical evidence of a chronic or permanent disability, they must then determine:
1. Your entitlement
2. Your assessment
This is the first I've heard of VAC contacting a client by phone with respect to an application for a disability benefit. This is done by letter.
With regards to the nurse, it is not uncommon for VAC to have their clients looked at or tested by qualified professions to aid in their adjudicating process.
Every situation is unique in it's claim process. The best way to know the status or concerns of your application is to contact VAC.

Are you still in the CF Wyatt? If so I think it might be in your best interest to get some administrative help from the Base Hospital. The only time I ever got a phone call about an application was when it was being denied by a VAC nurse.
If you are still serving you should get a a specialist or physio assessment on your injury and make sure you understand your injury going forward so you are prepared to talk about it with anyone at VAC should they contact you again.
