With the possession of cannabis now legal for those 18 years and older, the Canadian Forces has some tips for supervisors who may have to determine if military personnel are stoned on the job. Here they are:

The way I see it, is if you know your troops and promote their welfare, then the only thing you need to know if a soldier is high is intuition.
A good leader, will speak to those under his command and stress the importance of situational awareness at all times. Just because weed is legal, doesn't mean you need to smoke it. Like the platoon Sergeant, that tells his soldiers, just because they serve fries and pork-o-rib on a bun in the messhall, doesn't mean you should eat.
