Trudeau has compassion for rock stars, not veterans
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is apparently unmoved by veterans in need who feel Canada has turned its back on them.
LETTERS TO REGINA LEADER-POST

Roy Schneider of Regina writes:
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau never ceases to amaze.
He cries on national television over the death of a rock singer, but is apparently unmoved by the plight of our country’s veterans.
He has $10.5 million for Omar Khadr. He spends Canadian taxpayers’ money “reintegrating” ISIS fighters returning to Canada, when he should be barring their re-entry or sending them to prison.
However, he has no problem acting in direct contradiction to the Liberal election platform; specifically, the statement that “no veteran will be forced to fight their own government for the support and compensation they have earned.”
He has no problem telling a veteran who has lost a leg in service of his country that veterans are “asking for more than we’re able to give right now.” He is apparently unmoved by veterans who feel Canada has turned its back on them, but weeps at the loss of Gord Downie.
I was disgusted by the payment to Khadr, infuriated by the reintegration of the ISIS fighters, and now beyond belief that Trudeau seems to feel he can’t afford to give our veterans the financial support they deserve, instead fighting them in court. Our veterans fight for their country. They do not expect to face another fight from their own government over compensation they have so clearly earned, in some cases at great cost.
Some of our veterans have lost their lives, their limbs, and perhaps their sanity in service of their country. If Trudeau had the same compassion for them that he does for rock singers, our veterans would clearly be much further ahead.

Ps.
Replace she with he, making it politically correct.
Must be a parliamentary act that can amend the lyric.
