Did you know that the Canadian Women’s Wellness Initiative (CWWI) offers stress reduction training for Veterans and their families through VAC’s Veterans Family and Well-Being Fund? Members of the CWWI met with Minister Lawrence MacAulay to share information about their Transcendental Meditation program and its benefits for Veterans and families.

Congratulations to the Trilogy Wellness Centre, who is receiving support through the Veteran and Family Well-being Fund.
This organization will provide walk-in urgent mental health services for all Veterans and families in PEI and serve as an outreach centre for transition support, education, and referral programs. https://bit.ly/46uCgKY

#DidYouKnow that Veterans and their families across the country have benefitted from over 33 mental health initiatives since the launch of the Veteran and Family Well-being Fund in 2018?
These projects have offered a wide variety of services, including counselling for individuals and families, animal-assisted therapy, post-traumatic stress disorder treatment and research, meditation practices, stress management, crisis intervention training, and more.
For example, check out the Free Spirit Therapeutic Riding Association, based in Nova Scotia.
