Congratulations to Gertrude Kearns on being named to the Order of Canada today.
A contemporary artist who has brought a new vision and understanding to Canada's war history. We are a greater country because of your incredible work.

Today is a big day for Eastern PEI and St. Peter’s! Working with Premier Dennis King and UPEI, the new Canadian Centre for Climate Change and Adaptation at UPEI will be built in St. Peter’s!
This world class facility will allow students to come to St. Peter’s to help find solutions that are needed all around the world.
As Islanders, we know that climate change presents us with challenges that require new technologies and innovative solutions.
This new Centre will offer students not only a place to learn from the land around them but a place to create innovative real-world solutions.

Lawrence MacAulay is at Vanier, Ontario. Tuesday July 9, 2019
Veterans' House will help the most vulnerable – veterans who are dealing with disabilities and those who are at risk of being homeless.
Pleased to be in Vanier today to announce our government's support of $6.5M to this important project.

To better serve Canada's veterans, we need to better understand their unique health needs.
And that is exactly what the Canadian Institute for Military and Veteran Health Research is doing.
Pleased to annouce $25M to support CIMVHR's world-leading research into the health needs of our veterans and their families.
This will mean a great deal for our veterans. It will mean they get better care, better support, and a better future.
You can learn more about CIMVHR and their work here: cimvhr.ca

Lawrence MacAulay is at Canadian War Museum. July 15, 2019
Great to chat with 11-year old Xavier at the Canadian War Museum the other day.
Starting tomorrow, Xavier will be taking part in the four day Nijmegen March in the Netherlands.
Canadians must remember our proud military history and children like Xavier are making sure future generations never forget.
You have a bright future, Xavier, keep honouring our veterans and making Canada proud.

When we formed government in 2015, we promised veterans we would reopen the 9 Veterans Affairs offices the Conservatives had closed.
We also opened a new one in Surrey.
Great to chat with the Surrey staff who support more than 6,000 veterans at this office alone.

Community monuments, like this one in Magog, serve as a stark reminder of the sacrifices made by Canadians during the two World Wars and the Korean War.
Through the Commemorative Partnership Program, we’re making sure that those monuments will be here for generations to come.

Working together, we’ll ensure our RCMP officers have the support they need in their post-service lives.
Thank you to Commissioner Lucki and Chief Superintendent Ebert for a productive discussion today.
