We are offering online sessions to show you how to connect with VAC from home; apply for benefits or services; set up direct deposit, and more. Plus there will be an opportunity for you to ask questions.
There will be an English session tomorrow 28 October and a French session 29 October. Get the details on our Facebook Events page http://ow.ly/4S3E50C2ICn
Note: Vou do not need to be registered for My VAC Account to join the session.
My VAC Account is a secure, authenticated web application that allows Veterans, CAF and RCMP members to access VAC services from anywhere, and at any time. Family members who are receiving benefits directly from VAC can also sign up for My VAC Account.

One of the ways we’re working on wait times is through new Veteran Benefit Teams. These teams include Disability Services Assistants, Benefits Program Officers and Disability Adjudicators – the people who move applications from intake, to adjudication and on to payment. While still early days, our trial Veteran Benefit Team completed decisions in 17 weeks on average, from application submission to decision (compared to previous 50.5 weeks). Chronic pain is a constant, dragging presence that affects 41% of Canadian Veterans. It’s a complex issue that has no one-size-fits-all solution.
Each Wednesday from 18 November to 9 December, the Chronic Pain Centre of Excellence for Canadian Veteranshosts a virtual series on the evolution of pain management and care.

Did you get a text about a tax refund? Last year, about 55 Canadians a day were victims of a scam. Listen to your voice of reason before you act. Learn more: http://ow.ly/trSR50ClRU4

Gender-based violence can affect people in all walks of life, including those who have served their country.
Today marks the beginning of 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence. This international campaign runs annually from 25 November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women) to 10 December (World Human Rights Day).
Learn how this issue has affected Veterans. Visit “It’s Just 700”, a group dedicated to current and past service members of the Canadian military who survived work-related sexual trauma: www.itsjust700.com.
