Montreal-born Ainsworth Dyer served his country with dignity and grace.
Highly regarded for his maturity and responsibility as a soldier, Dyer served in the Canadian Armed Forces peace support efforts in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Two years later while on a tour of duty in Afghanistan, Dyer was killed in a friendly fire incident.
He was only 24 years old.
We remember him.

Right after high school, Karine Blais signed up to serve in the Canadian Armed Forces.
She was described as funny and “full of life” by those who knew her.
When she received news of her future deployment to Afghanistan, she was enthusiastic to go.
14 years ago today, Corporal Blais lost her life when the armoured vehicle she was travelling in hit a roadside bomb north of Kandahar City.
Today, and forever, we remember her.
