Exactly!

Veterans are a once a year remembrance day photo take for the government. All kinds of promises but become broken or twisted once in power.

They all make me sick, angry, and of course lose all faith in them!

Pensions for politicians, time forward degraded pensions for veterans!!!!!

MacAulay, past Ministers, and politicians are useless to the welfare of disabled Veterans. Walt Natynczyk the deputy Minister of Veterans Affairs is responsible for every aspect of the Veterans file since 2014. So when your not happy, and want someone to blame, Walt Natynczyk is the one person that should answer to unhappy disabled Veterans. I hope that the majority of disabled Veterans can see through the bull that comes from our politicians, and Walt Natynczyk. If there's one thing I have learn't throughout the years is the politicians & the bureaucrats don't have a true heart of care towards disabled Veterans in Canada. Since they changed the pension act in 2006 the ones responsible for the care of disabled Veterans have moved to reduce the lifelong financial security of disabled Veterans in Canada. And as it moves even further, it continues to be reduced.

Advocates are all over the map. Veterans are divided like I've never seen before. Not surprising given one of the main objective besides reducing security for Veterans from the bureaucrats was to divide us, and they've succeeded.

These politicians/bureaucrats who stand in front of the cameras, and continue to lie saying they care about disabled Veterans, and their families care only about themselves. It's all about them, given the perception that it is about Veterans.

Our Country has let us down! Our Country has failed us! Our Country betrayed us!

After years of serving his country in the @CanadianForces, Brad White proudly served veterans as the National Executive Director at the The Royal Canadian Legion - National Headquarters.

Enjoy your retirement, Brad, and thank you for everything you’ve done to support Canada’s veterans.

Lawrence MacAulay - Facebook March 28, 2019

This past week, our government invested in Canada’s Veterans and their families. This builds on our government’s $10 billion commitment over the last 3 previous budgets to serve those who have given so much for our great country.

This year’s budget makes additional investments to help Veterans and their families navigate the unique challenges they face transitioning to life after service. It also makes important contributions to honour the sacrifices of Veterans and their families and ensure their stories are known by generations to come.

Some highlights from the budget include:

·Support a number of initiatives to simplify the transition process for Veterans and their families;

·Expand access for the Education and Training Benefit to members of the Supplementary Reserve;

·Support research into the unique health needs of Veterans and their families by funding the ongoing operations of the Canadian Institute for Military and Veteran Health Research (CIMVHR);

·Develop an in-depth understanding of chronic pain among Veterans through the creation of a Centre of Excellence on Chronic Pain Research;

·Ensure Veterans’ families have the financial support they need through a new Veterans Survivors Fund;

·Honour those who have served during times of conflict with funding for the Juno Beach Centre in Normandy, France and the Highway of Heroes project; and

·Recognize the contribution of Métis veterans to the country’s Second World War efforts and commemorate the sacrifices and achievements of all Métis veterans.

Since becoming Minister of Veterans Affairs, I have had the privilege to speak with Veterans, their families and their advocates across the country. It is always humbling to hear their concerns directly and similarly inspiring to speak to them about their hopes for the future.

We remain committed to supporting our veterans and I look forward to hearing and speaking with many of them in the weeks and months ahead.

At CFB Esquimalt, our military is hard at work 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to ensure we can enjoy the freedom that we do.

Thank you, Captain Jason Boyd, for today’s tour of the base and aboard HMCS Calgary and Chicoutimi.

Canadians enjoy the freedom we do because of the brave actions of so many in our military on D-Day.

Today in Vancouver, to mark the 75th Anniversary of D-Day, we unveiled a poster commemorating those brave men and women. https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/canadaremembers?source=feed_text&epa=HASHTAG&__tn__=*NK-R

70 years ago today, Canada joined our allies in the founding of #NATO.

Canada's NATO veterans, alongside our allies, have helped to build peace, security, and stability throughout the world.

To all those who have served and those who continue to serve: thank you.

On April 9, 1917, 100,000 soldiers advanced on Vimy Ridge.

They fought in unimaginable conditions to take the Ridge.

Today, we remember their bravery and sacrifice, and we remember all those who fought to protect our freedom.

A productive discussion with President of the Treasury Board Joyce Murrayy last week about issues brought forward by representatives of PSAC - AFPC in Cardigan.

We'll keep working hard for the Canadians in our public service.

Lawrence MacAulay - 18 April 2019

A big thanks to Jim Lowther of VETS Canada for today’s tour of the new drop-in centre in Dartmouth.

I know Darren Fisher and I, and all of our government, are proud to work with so many organizations across the country who are supporting Canada’s Veterans.

Canada’s Merchant Navy bore the brunt of the Battle of the Atlantic.

They sailed through the Atlantic, facing harsh weather and German U-Boats, to bring critical supplies to Europe.

In Halifax, we remember the sacrifices our Merchant Navy made in the Battle of the Atlantic.
