Facilities around the country, like the one here at Camp Hill, are vitally important for our veterans to receive the long-term care that they deserve.
Thank you to everyone for the warm welcome yesterday.

Andrew Scheer and the Conservatives are promoting a dangerous and divisive foreign policy.
For years, Canadians put up with Stephen Harper’s failed policy - Andrew Scheer would continue that.
Canadians deserve better - that’s what they’ll get from our Liberal Government.

We’ve got a plan, and it’s working.
Since we formed government, Canadians have created one million new jobs across the country.
In March and April, PEI saw almost 3,000 new jobs created - that’s one of the highest job growths on record, and good news for all Islanders!

Canadians laid down their lives in Normandy for the peace and freedom that we and our allies enjoy today.
With the help of organizations like the @JunoBeachCentre, we’re ensuring that their memory lives on. #CanadaRemembers

All Canadians should have access to a warm bed and roof over their head – here at Good Shepard Ministries, those Torontonians who need it the most have access to all of that. Thank you for the tour today, and for sharing your stories.

Today, a pair of boots, representing the cross-country journey made by Canadian troops during WWII, leaves Union Station in Toronto.
This symbolic journey serves as a reminder to all Canadians of the sacrifices made 75 years ago, and of the continued dedicated service of our men and women in uniform. #DDay75 #CanadaRemembers

Thank you, Premier King, for meeting today.
I’m looking forward to working together to help all Islanders, grow our economy, and make P.E.I. the best it can be.

Today marks the 80th anniversary of the opening of our National War Memorial in Ottawa.
For 80 years, this memorial has stood as a steadfast reminder of the sacrifices made, so that all Canadians can continue to live in peace, security and freedom.
Lest we forget.

Today, at the New Brunswick Garrison, and alongside D-Day Veteran Alphonse Vautour, we unveiled a new D-Day Commemorative toonie.
The service of Canadians, like Pvt. Vautour, should never be forgotten - this new coin will serve to commemorate their sacrifices, and remind Canadians of what occurred on those beaches, 75 years ago. #CanadaRemembers #DDay75

Today is the International Day of United Nations Peacekeeping.
Canada played a central role in establishing the concept of international peacekeeping and more than 125,000 Canadians have served in a variety of UN peace support missions over the years.
Thank you for all you've done.

With this new Heritage Minute, we remember the brave men and women of the Battle of Normandy and reflect on their sacrifices.
Thank you to @HistoricaCanada for this fitting tribute. #DDay75
