Taking care of your mental health is important.
That’s why starting April 2022, Veterans living in Canada who apply for a disability benefit for certain mental health conditions – as well as those waiting for a decision – will qualify for early Mental Health Benefits coverage.
Veterans will be covered for up to two years, regardless of the outcome of their application.
Note: Treatment benefits for those who are already approved for a disability benefit will not change.
