IRB Post 65

Interesting info from Banished Facebook posted today, Feb 06. 2020;

"For those who collected CIAS, CIA, RISB and ELB prior to April 1st 2019
and are declared DEC, BEWARE. I turned 65 on 4 January and was
supposed to receive IRB at the reduced 70% rate. Needless to say that my
IRB was whittled down to $237.67 and my CIAS which was rolled into the
IRB remained at $1167.13. They call this CIAS amount a "protected" amount
and because the IRB amount is less than $1167.13, they use only the
Protected amount to calculate the IRB. The actual IRB amount is NOT
added to the "Protected " CIAS amount. Smoke and Mirrors at its best
folks!!!"

Looks to me as thought those Veterans who have had their protected CIAS continued after April 2019, and are DEC, and turn 65, the CIAS amount will count towards your IRB amount when you turn 65. CIAS built into the post 65 IRB amount.
